Greenways Hotel aims to ensure that all functions and conferences at Greenways Hotel are as environmental friendly as possible by implementing the following:
| • locally sourced produce, herbs, lettuces, etc. even from our own organic vegetable garden |
| • only seafood which is on the SASSI green list, will be served in the restaurant |
| • as far as possible all produce is home made |
| • we only use free range eggs and chicken |
| • leftovers are as far as possible used and/or recycled |
| • we pride ourselves in separating waste at the source and we have a very efficient waste management |
| • we don’t use any disposable crockery and cutlery, never |
| • we only use proper serviettes, never paper serviettes |
| • we hardly use any plastic items in the hotel, rooms and restaurant (but we do use plastic pens) |
Greenways Hotel is a participating in a pilot project and is at this stage the only hotel in South Africa, which is equipped with only energy saving bulbs, even the ones which are dimmable.
